Millard Hawk Primary and A.A. Cole Staff Volunteer at Rescue Mission

As part of the character education program at Millard Hark Primary, twelve staff members recently volunteered to serve at the Rescue Mission Food Service Center in Syracuse. Staff helped to serve food, prepare meals, clean dishes and clean tables while they were there. 167 meals were served in about an hour. A.A. Cole Elementary held their 3rd and 4th grade Battle of the Books competition this morning.  After 1 and 1/2 hours, the winners of this competition are:  B. Sheldon, S. Fallows, and C. Kozubowski.   Everyone did a marvelous job.  These three students will be representing A.A. Cole for the district competition at MHP next week. Congratulations!

The Central Square Redhawks recently participated in the annual Traci Zimmer Coaches Vs. Cancer Girls Basketball Tournament. The tournament is named after Traci Zimmer, who played for four years as the point guard for Central Square. A 1993 Central Square graduate, she was also a varsity golfer and tennis player.
